Thiếu niên bị hành hung vì đội mũ ủng hộ ông Trump

Cậu bé 14 tuổi ở bang Florida bị một nhóm học sinh tấn công hội dồng trên xe buýt vì đội mũ có khẩu hiệu "Make America Great Again" của Trump.

Sự việc xảy ra tại hạt Hamilton, bang Florida, Mỹ từ cuối tháng 11 và đang được điều tra. Video vụ hành hung được mẹ nạn nhân đăng lên mạng xã hội hôm 12/12 sau khi tham khảo ý kiến luật sư.

Vụ xô xát bắt đầu khi một cô gái bất ngờ lao vào tấn công thiếu niên 14 tuổi. Nam sinh này cố gắng rời ghế của mình nhưng nhanh chóng bị đẩy ngã và đánh túi bụi. Video ghi lại tiếng gào thét kinh hoàng, cho thấy ít nhất hai nữ sinh cùng ba nam sinh tham gia tấn công.

Mẹ nạn nhân cho biết con bà bị bắt nạt vì từng đội chiếc mũ có dòng chữ "Make America Great Again" (Khiến nước Mỹ vĩ đại trở lại), khẩu hiệu tranh cử của Tổng thống Donald Trump hồi năm 2016. Cậu bé từng bị đổ sữa lên đầu và đã ngừng đội mũ, nhưng vẫn không tránh được trận đòn. Gia đình nói thêm rằng thiếu niên này đang phải nằm viện.

Đây không phải lần đầu những người công khai ủng hộ Trump trở thành mục tiêu hành hung. Một chủ sở hữu phòng trưng bày nghệ thuật ở bang New Jersey cho biết ông từng bị một nhóm thiếu niên đánh hồi tháng 8 vì mặc áo lưu niệm ủng hộ Tổng thống Mỹ.

On Dec. 12, 2019, the Twitter account American Diaries posted a 21-second excerpt of a video seemingly showing several students battering another student on a school bus from the Hamilton County, Florida, school district:



However, Hamilton County School Superintendant Rex L. Mitchell posted a statement in response declaring that during the course of an investigation, the district found “no evidence” that “the altercation occurred because one of the students involved was wearing a political hat showing support for President Trump” or “that [the student’s] wearing of such apparel on a prior occasion motivated the incident.”

According to the district’s statement, “The incident began with a verbal altercation between two students that escalated when additional students became involved”:

On Thursday, December 12th, a message was posted on Twitter along with a video showing an altercation between students on a Hamilton County School District school bus. The incident shown in this tweet actually occurred on Thursday, November 21st, 22 days ago. Since that time the school district has investigated the incident, taken action against the students involved, and turned the information over to the local Sheriff’s office for criminal action. It is implied in the post that the altercation occurred because one of the students involved was wearing a political hat showing support for President Trump. There was no evidence found during the investigation that indicated the student was wearing any of this apparel at the time of the altercation or that his wearing of such apparel on a prior occasion motivated the incident. The incident began with a verbal altercation between two students that escalated when additional students became involved. In addition to the video that was posted online which was recorded by a student, the school district reviewed the bus video which depicted, not only the altercation, but all events prior to the altercation and its conclusion.
