Cựu Giám đốc T́nh báo Quốc gia John Ratcliffe hôm Chủ nhật cảnh báo rằng chính quyền Biden đang khiến an ninh quốc gia gặp rủi ro khi mua công nghệ máy bay không người lái (drone) của Trung Quốc để sử dụng cho cơ quan thực thi pháp luật liên bang.

Trong một lần xuất hiện trên Fox News, Ratcliffe nhấn mạnh rằng các công nghệ Trung Quốc có khả năng gởi thông tin về cơ sở hạ tầng quan trọng của Hoa Kỳ cho Đảng Cộng sản Trung Quốc.

“Giống như rất nhiều điều mà chính quyền Biden đă làm gần đây về an ninh quốc gia, điều này rất ít có ư nghĩa,” Ratcliffe cảnh báo.

Ông nói thêm, “Nó có hại cho an ninh quốc gia của chúng ta. Ngoài ra, công nghệ máy bay không người lái của Trung Quốc không tốt bằng công nghệ máy bay không người lái của Mỹ ”.

Ratcliffe nhấn mạnh thêm: “Thật khó hiểu tại sao lại làm điều này, ngoài việc nó nhất quán với việc chính quyền Biden có cách tiếp cận nhẹ nhàng hơn, cố gắng quảng bá một câu chuyện sai sự thật rằng bằng cách nào đó Trung Quốc là đối thủ cạnh tranh chứ không phải kẻ thù”.

Biden từ lâu đă được đồn đại là nằm dưới quyền của chính phủ Trung Quốc, và sự sụp đổ của Afghanistan cũng khiến lư thuyết đó trở nên mạnh mẽ hơn.
