Theo nguồn tin từ trong nước cho biết, một số nhà hoạt động cách mạng dân chủ đã bị bắt tại sân bay. Việt Tân cho hay họ đã có buổi hộp tại Singapore khi ra mắt ứng dụng giúp viết bài báo StoryMaker, sau đó khi về Việt Nam thì đã bị bắt tại sân bay Tân Sơn Nhất. Ngay lập các tổ chức nhân quyền, các tổ chức dân sự, các báo chí trong và ngoài nước quốc tế đã lên án hành vi đê hèn của chính quyền Việt Cộng bắt bớ người trái phép với luật pháp và công ước quốc tế. Đề nghị trả tự do ngay cho họ.



Ngày 18/5 khi đáp chuyến bay từ Singapore về đến Việt Nam, nhà văn Võ Văn Tạo, anh Dũng Mai, anh Khổng Hy Thiêm và Uyên Thảo Trần Lê đã bị giữ trái phép tại sân bay.

Từ sân bay Nội Bài chị Thảo Teresa con của ông Dũng cho chúng tôi biết:
-Bố em nhắn được đúng một cái tin ra là “Bố đã bị an ninh cửa khẩu sân bay Nội Bài bắt giữ”. Bọn em có đi tìm các phòng ban hỏi thì họ đùn đẩy cho nhau đến bây giờ em cũng không biết bố em đâu. Họ cho an ninh giả danh côn đồ ra đánh hai người anh em bạn của em bị đánh rồi. Một anh tên là Hưng một anh tên là Nguyễn Văn Đề cũng đi ra cùng mọi người để đón bố em thì bị đánh. Một anh vể rồi còn một anh thì đang ngồi đây. Bọn em đang ngồi ở sân bay đây.
Người bị giả danh côn đồ hành hung là anh Bùi Tiến Hưng cho chúng tôi biết thêm chi tiết về việc anh bị ba người hành hung ngay trong sảnh chính của sân bay như sau:
-Tôi tên là Bùi Tiến Hưng hôm nay thấy bảo là bố của Thảo ở nước ngoài về nên ra sân bay đón, Bố Thảo là ông Mai Dũng. Đi cùng ra sân bay thì Thảo đợi đến 6 giờ 15 trong khi 6 giờ 10 đã có thông báo là máy bay từ Singapore đã hạ cánh ở Nội Bài rồi mà bố Thảo đi chuyến bay đấy. Quá giờ khoảng hơn tiếng thì không thấy bố của Thảo ra, Thảo đi hết các phòng ban để hòi tình trạng của bố thì các cấp phòng ban toàn đùn đẩy cho nhau, ậm ờ không trả lời cho Thảo biết.
Thảo có giơ biểu ngữ phản đối bắt người, họ cho một số côn đồ ra cướp biểu ngữ. Tôi không cầm biểu ngữ gì hết tôi đứng ngay đây thì một anh an ninh ảnh gọi, bảo Hưng ra đây làm việc, rồi có 2 người nhảy ra đánh tôi trước mặt ngay sảnh lớn của nhà ga chung quanh có hàng trăm người chứng kiến. Đánh tôi trước mặt nhà ga.
Vào lúc 10 giờ đêm, chị Thảo cho chúng tôi biết là nhận được tin công an đã chở ông Mai Dũng về Hà Nội nhưng khi gọi lại thì điện thoại của ông Dũng đã bị cắt.



Anh Dũng Mai là một người có tấm lòng nhân ái. Thấy dân oan đói rách, vạ vật đòi công lý nên đã lập ra nhóm Cứu Lấy Dân Oan để hỗ trợ bà con. Chỉ có vậy thôi mà lại đi câu lưu anh đến giờ này chưa ra. Những người lãnh đạo đảng cộng sản ngày nay đã xác nhận một điều là họ không hề đứng về phía những người bị áp bức, những người ở dưới đáy xã hội như trong các bài tuyên truyền, các bài rao giảng đạo đức.
