Tin từ New York – Hàng ngàn người đã diễn hành qua cầu Brooklyn đến quảng trường Foley ở Manhattan để tưởng niệm George Floyd, người tử vong dưới tay cảnh sát thành phố Minneapolis hồi tuần trước đã châm ngòi các cuộc biểu tình phản đối sự tàn bạo của cảnh sát trên toàn cầu.

Anh của nạn nhân, Terrence Floyd, đã tham dự lễ tưởng niệm tại công viên Cadman Plaza, nơi xuất hiện trong video ghi lại cảnh các cảnh sát sử dụng dùi cui và bình xịt hơi cay vào những người vẫn còn biểu tình sau giờ giới nghiêm 8 giờ tối hôm thứ Tư (03/04/2020).



Các viên chức, trong đó có thị trưởng thành phố New York, Bill de Blasio cũng đã tham dự và nói trước đám đông. Thị trưởng đã nhận nhiều công kích trong lần xuất hiện đầu tiên trước những người biểu tình. Thậm chí, một số diễn giả chỉ trích khả năng quản trị sở cảnh sát New York (NYPD) của ông và cách chính quyền ông đối phó với coronavirus.

Tại thành phố Minneapolis, những người nổi tiếng, các nhà hoạt động dân quyền, chính trị gia và thành viên gia đình của Floyd đã tham gia tang lễ của ông Floyd, họ hát “Amazing Grace” và cầu nguyện cho bữa lễ vừa ca ngợi cuộc đời của ông, vừa tưởng nhớ một người đàn ông đã chết dưới tay cảnh sát, khiến các cuộc biểu tình nổ ra trên toàn quốc để kêu gọi chấm dứt bất bình đẳng chủng tộc

Câu này thì dĩ nhiên rồi, ai lại chẳng biết gọi 911 khi cần. Đâu phải bạn nhậu nào cũng thủ cây súng ak 47 74 bằng cao su hay lựu đạn trong nhà để cho mình gọi cầu cứu đâu phải không?
