CNN host and White House correspondent — a longtime critic of President Donald Trump — revealed that the president “never sleeps” and is widely accessible to reporters during a recent appearance on “The Bachelorette” star Jason Tartick’s business podcast “Trading Secrets.”

“He does not sleep,” Collins said. “I had this source who said, ‘You never want to be on Air Force One on a trip.’ And I said, ‘Why? You’d think you’d want to be in the axis of power, close to Trump.’”

“He doesn’t sleep on these trips, and you’re going to Asia or something, and that’s like the only time you’re going to sleep before you go on this trip, but Trump is just always up and talking,” the longtime White House correspondent continued. Collins further revealed that Trump will sometimes wake staffers up at all hours of the night in order to consult with them on presidential matters.

Tartick then joked that he only slept for four hours before recording the podcast, to which Collins replied, “Four hours is nuts. Four hours is Trump-level.”

The host, who recently appeared on a “Fox And Friends” segment, added that he had also heard of Trump’s ability to operate on minimal sleep while chatting with Fox staffers. The podcast host said a producer in the control room told him: “None of us are sleeping because the president doesn’t sleep.”

“We’re all working two times right now,” the producer allegedly said. Collins added that Trump’s sleep schedule is well known to both staffers and the White House press pool, so much so that staffers preparing for the president’s trip to Southeast Asia said, “know you’re not gonna sleep on that flight.”

Collins also discussed the president’s accessibility to reporters and willingness to answer questions.

“It’s different because Trump is such an accessible president that if he’s just swearing in the ambassador to Greece, typically that wouldn’t be a newsworthy event if President Biden or any typical president was probably doing it. But Trump’s moments, anytime the cameras are around and reporters are around, it can turn into a press conference,” she said.

“And so you have to like, I always keep a running list of questions on my phone because you never know when you’re going to run into him or when he’s going to start taking questions,” Collins added, stressing that Trump is far more accessible than former Presidents Biden and Obama, both of whom she covered.
