A Sense Of A Country Is Its People

Tôi luôn luôn nghĩ một trong những cảm giác rõ rệt nhất về một quốc gia là việc quốc gia đó bảo vệ công dân của họ.

Bảo vệ công dân của họ trong nước qua luật pháp, qua chính sách, qua tôn trọng nhân quyền, tôn trọng hiến pháp.

Nhưng cái gọi là “A sense of a country” đặc biệt mạnh mẽ khi một quốc gia bảo vệ công dân của họ ở ngoài nước.

Khi một quốc gia, qua hành xử của nó, nói rằng:

“I will protect you anywhere you go” thì đó là điều làm cho công dân của một quốc gia cảm được đâu là nhà của mình.

Nếu mà bạn có cái đọc thường xuyên, có một thứ hiểu biết bao bọc khá tốt, thì việc Trump nói rằng hắn không biết Nga trả tiền cho phiến quân Afghanistan giết quân Mỹ là một chuyện động trời.

Trump biết mà không có phản ứng thích đáng để bảo vệ quân nhân dưới quyền mình thì đó là chuyện động trời.

Trump thật sự không biết thì đó cũng là một chuyện động trời nữa.

Cả hai trường hợp đều không thể chấp nhận được, không thể bào chữa được !!

Trong cái interview kèm theo đây, Tướng Barry McCaffrey, nói một cách mạnh mẽ về những điều động trời, không thể tưởng tượng được mà tôi muốn tóm tắt trên kia.

Cái thông tin về việc Nga trả tiền cho phiến quân Afghan giết quân Mỹ đã được mang ra mổ xẻ trong các cuộc họp của các thành viên cao cấp nhất trong Hội Đồng An Ninh Quốc Gia (National Security Counsel, NSC). Cái thông tin đó đã được chia sẽ với Anh Quốc là đồng minh chiến lược với Hoa Kỳ ở Afghanistan.

Tướng McCaffrey đặt câu hỏi: “What is the chance ?” Trump không được thông báo sự kiện này ?

Tướng McCaffrey, với 50 năm phục vụ ở những vị trí then chốt nhất và cao cấp nhất trong an ninh quốc gia, kể cả tình báo, vạch ra một hình ảnh sẽ xảy ra dưới bất kỳ một tổng thống nào khác:

Mọi người, bất cứ ai trong NSC, từ bậc trung cấp đến cao cấp, sẽ đập cửa phòng làm việc tổng thống, phá xập cửa nếu phải làm như thế để vô, và nói:

Và câu trả lời của tổng thống sẽ là:

Một quốc gia sẽ bảo vệ công dân của họ, nhất là những người lính đang phục vụ quốc gia.

Còn bây giờ thời DUMP ... "Mỗi người lính chết là 1 lá phiếu Dump thắng cử" ở Afghanistan do Nga bỏ tiền cho phiến quân giết. Nên Dump phải IM LẶNG và I don't know ! Là xong thôi.
