Default Three arrested after death of South Korean tourists

In a recent development, three individuals in Lam Dong Province's Central Highlands, including Ngo Thanh Nghia, the vice director of the Cu Lan Village tourism site, and employees Vo Le Thai and Vo Tan Binh, have been detained due to alleged negligence that resulted in the tragic death of four South Korean tourists last month. The Lam Dong police have decided to detain these individuals for four months as part of the ongoing investigation into involuntary manslaughter.

The incident occurred on October 24 when Vo Le Thai was driving a car carrying four South Korean tourists to explore a stream in the Cu Lan Village. Unexpectedly, a flash flood originating from upstream occurred, flipping the car and leading to the unfortunate demise of all four South Korean passengers. Vo Le Thai, the driver, managed to survive the incident.

The exact nature of the violations that led to the detainment of Ngo Thanh Nghia, Vo Le Thai, and Vo Tan Binh has not been officially disclosed by authorities at this time. The Cu Lan Village, a well-known tourist site situated at the foot of Lang Biang mountain, approximately 20 kilometers from the popular tourist destination Da Lat, has been temporarily closed following the tragic incident. The closure aims to facilitate investigations and ensure the safety of visitors to the site.

This incident has raised concerns about safety measures and preparedness at tourist destinations, emphasizing the need for strict adherence to safety protocols to prevent such unfortunate events in the future. Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the causes and responsibilities surrounding the incident.
