Thống Đốc New York Andrew Cuomo hôm Thứ Hai, 6 tháng 7 đă tấn công Tổng Thống Trump, cáo buộc tổng thống về “việc kích hoạt vi khuẩn” bằng cách đưa ra những tuyên bố sai sự thật và gây hiểu lầm về Covid-19 và tác động của nó lên cả nước, theo CNN.
Vị thống đốc đă đưa ra những nhận định trong khi 40 tiểu bang trong số 50 tiểu bang đang chứng kiến sự gia tăng truyền nhiễm vi khuẩn corona và Hoa Kỳ đă có hơn 133,000 người thiệt mạng.

Gọi vi khuẩn là vấn đề “lớn,” Cuomo khẩn cầu ông Trump đừng làm “kẻ đồng âm mưu” của Covid-19 bằng việc nói không đúng sự thật về sự nghiêm trọng của đại dịch. “Ông ấy đang tạo điều kiện cho vi khuẩn,” theo Cuomo cho biết. “Ông ấy kích hoạt vi khuẩn.”

Ông Trump đă tiếp tục đùa giỡn với sự nguy hiểm của vi khuẩn corona, mà ngày càng truyền nhiễm nhiều hơn nữa tại Hoa Kỳ.

Trong phát biểu vào ngày 4 tháng 7, Ông Trump tuyên bố rằng 99% các trường hợp bị lây Covid-19 là vô hại.

Tuy nhiên, Tổ Chức Y Tế Thế Giới đă nói khoảng 20% những người được chẩn đoán mắc Covid-19 tiến tới bệnh nghiêm trọng, gồm viêm phổi và suy hô hấp.

Hơn nữa, đối với những người bị nhẹ hay không có triệu chứng cũng có thể lây lan vi khuẩn cho người khác là người dễ bị tổn thương hơn.

Cuomo nói rằng tổng thống “đă dựng lên các sự kiện. Ông ấy tạo ra phản khoa học.”
