(Reuters) – Các nhà khoa học Anh đă tạm dừng một thử nghiệm thuốc chống sốt rét hydroxychloroquine ở những bệnh nhân mắc bệnh đại dịch COVID-19 sau khi kết quả ban đầu cho thấy không có kết quả

“Chúng tôi đă xem xét dữ liệu và kết luận không có bằng chứng về tác dụng có lợi của hydroxychloroquine ở những bệnh nhân COVID, và quyết định ngừng sử dụng cho bệnh nhân bị Covid 19”, Martin Landray, giáo sư Đại học Oxford, người đồng tác giả

Martin Landray,nói thêm. “Bây giờ chúng ta có thể ngừng sử dụng một loại thuốc này”


Thuốc chống sốt rét đă gây tranh căi rất nhiều kể từ khi Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump nói rằng loại thuốc này có thể là “tác nhân thay đổi cuộc chơi” trong đại dịch coronavirus và sau một nghiên cứu được công bố trên tạp chí y khoa The Lancet vào tháng trước

Landray, giáo sư y học và dịch tễ học tại Đại học Oxford, lưu ư rằng “đă có sự đầu cơ và không chắc chắn về vai tṛ của hydroxychloroquine trong điều trị COVID-19” nhưng – cho đến nay – “không có thông tin đáng tin cậy từ các thử nghiệm ngẫu nhiên “.

Ông cho biết kết quả sơ bộ từ thử nghiệm RECOVERY, đây là một thử nghiệm ngẫu nhiên – hiện đă khá rơ ràng: hydroxychloroquine không làm giảm nguy cơ tử vong ở những bệnh nhân nhập viện với COVID-19.

“Nếu bạn nhập viện, đừng dùng hydroxychloroquine”, ông nói.
