Tổng Thống Donald Trump lại vu khống rằng truyền thông Hoa Kỳ đă can thiệp bầu cử 2020 một cách bất hợp pháp v́ cứ loan tin chính xác về đại dịch để gây ấn tượng rằng chính phủ Trump bó tay v́ đại dịch, và như thế nên hiểu là vi phạm luật bầu cử (Should be an election law violation!).

Theo thống kê từ dự án COVID-19 Tracking Project, trung b́nh có 68,954 người Mỹ/ngày lây nhiễm siêu vi này trong 7 ngày qua.

Trong khi đó, 5 viên chức trong dàn tham mưu của Phó TT Mike Pence đă thử nghiệm dương tính siêu vi, trong đó có Chánh Văn Pḥng PTT. T́nh h́nh này cho thấy Bạch Ốc đă trở thành ổ dịch mới.
