Barack Obama đă nói trong một cuộc phỏng vấn trên SiriusXM phát sóng hôm thứ Năm tuần trước rằng ông sẽ tiêm chủng vaccine COVID-19 và "có thể sẽ tiêm nó trên TV." Đại diện của George W. Bush và Bill Clinton nói với CNN hôm thứ Tư rằng họ cũng sẵn sàng được cấy vaccine trước công chúng.

Các cựu tổng thống hy vọng sẽ truyền tải niềm tin vào khoa học vaccine tới người dân Mỹ. Giám đốc NIAID Anthony Fauci cho biết Hoa Kỳ có thể có khả năng miễn dịch số đông vào cuối mùa hè hoặc mùa thu năm 2021 nếu người Mỹ được chủng ngừa đủ số lượng.

Obama nói với Joe Madison của SiriusXM rằng nếu bác sĩ Fauci nói với tôi rằng loại vaccine nào đó là an toàn và "có thể giúp mọi người miễn dịch khỏi việc nhiễm COVID, th́ tôi sẽ tiêm chủng nó."

“Tôi hứa với bạn rằng nếu nó được bào chế ra cho con người để sinh mạng của họ ít bị rủi ro hơn, th́ tôi sẽ nhận tiêm chủng nó,” ông nói. "Ngay cả tôi có thể sẽ tiêm chủng nó trên TV hoặc quay phim nó lại, chỉ để mọi người thấy rằng tôi tin tưởng vào khoa học và cái mà tôi không tin tưởng là để bị nhiễm COVID."

Trong khi đó, Freddy Ford nói với CNN rằng cựu tổng thống George W. Bush đă yêu cầu ông cho bác sĩ Fauci và điều phối viên lực lượng đặc nhiệm chống virus coronavirus của Nhà Trắng, là bác sĩ Deborah Birx biết rằng, "khi đúng lúc, ông ấy (Bush) muốn làm điều ǵ đó để có thể giúp khuyến khích người dân của ḿnh đi tiêm pḥng."

Ông (Ford) nói: “Đầu tiên, vaccine cần phải được coi là an toàn và được sử dụng cho các đối tượng ưu tiên. "Sau đó, Tổng thống Bush sẽ xếp hàng để tiêm pḥng cho ông ấy, và sẽ sẵn ḷng làm điều đó trước ống kính."

Về phía cự tổng thống Bill Clinton, bà Angel Urena, người đại diện của ông Clinton cũng đă nói với CNN, "Tổng thống Clinton chắc chắn sẽ tiêm vaccine ngay khi có sẵn cho ông ấy, dựa trên các ưu tiên do các quan chức y tế công cộng xác định. Và ông ấy sẽ làm điều đó ở nơi công cộng nếu nó giúp thúc giục tất cả người Mỹ làm như vậy .".

Đúng là nhờ Trump nên nuớc Mỹ mới đứng đầu TG về số nguời bị lây bệnh và số người chết cao nhất TG...Nếu nhờ có Trump th́ mới có vaccine sớm nhưng sao để sau ngày bầu cử mới công bố để cho Ông phải kiện cáo...Nếu có vaccine sớm trước ngày bầu cử th́ Ông đă tổ chức ăn mừng thắng sớm chứ đâu phải hủy bữa tiệc ngày 11/2/2020....Nhờ có Trump mà TG liên minh lại cũng như 3 Ông cựu TT nuớc Mỹ nắm tay lại đâu phải v́ nước Mỹ vĩ đại một ḿnh...
