Hãng Reuters ngày 20.8 đưa tin Cục Hải quan và Biên phòng Mỹ (CBP) đã phát hiện hơn 3.000 giấy chứng nhận giả về việc tiêm chủng vắc xin Covid-19 gửi từ Trung Quốc.
Theo CBP, các giấy chứng nhận giả được in kém chất lượng nhưng rất giống giấy chứng nhận thật do Trung tâm Kiểm soát và Phòng ngừa bệnh tật Mỹ cấp cho những người đã tiêm vắc xin Covid-19.

Số giấy chứng nhận trên được cơ quan chức năng thu giữ tại thành phố Anchorage (bang Alaska), sau khi nhiều giấy chứng nhận giả tương tự gửi từ Trung Quốc được phát hiện vào tuần trước tại thành phố Memphis (bang Tennessee).
“Việc không để các giấy chứng nhận giả này lọt ra đường, cũng như thu giữ từ tay những người gửi là điều quan trọng đối với sự an toàn của người dân Mỹ”, theo ông Lance Robinson, giám đốc cảng khu vực Anchorage.
Theo trợ lý Kymberly Fernandez của ông Robinson, các giấy chứng nhận giả bị tịch thu đang trên đường gửi đến nhiều nơi ở Mỹ chứ không chỉ Alaska và cơ quan chức năng đang điều tra. Sân bay Ted Stevens ở Anchorage xếp thứ 4 thế giới về lượng hàng hóa và có trung tâm quốc tế của hãng vận chuyển FedEx.



Reuters news agency on August 20 reported that the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) had discovered more than 3,000 fake certificates of Covid-19 vaccine vaccination sent from China.
According to CBP, the fake certificates are printed with poor quality but are very similar to the real certificates issued by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine.

The above certificates were seized by authorities in Anchorage (Alaska state), after many similar fake certificates sent from China were discovered last week in Memphis (Tennessee).
“Keeping these fake certificates out of the way, as well as being seized from senders, is critical to the safety of the American people,” said Lance Robinson, Anchorage regional port manager.
According to Robinson's assistant Kymberly Fernandez, the confiscated fake certificates are on their way to many places in the US, not just Alaska, and authorities are investigating. Ted Stevens Airport in Anchorage ranks fourth in the world in terms of cargo volume and has an international hub for the shipping carrier FedEx.
