After the amazing Charlie Kirk Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony in the Rose Garden today, President Trump invited Erika Kirk to the Oval Office.
There, he officially signed a proclamation declaring today — October 14th, which is Charlie Kirk’s birthday — as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
In true Trump fashion, he also reminisced with Erika about listening to music with Charlie.

Last month, the Senate passed the resolution to establish today as a national day of remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
Axios reported:
The big picture: Trump’s proclamation follows the Senate last month passing a resolution to create a national day of remembrance for Kirk, who was fatally shot at a Turning Point event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
What he’s saying: In his proclamation, Trump vowed that his administration “will continue to do everything in its power to end this devastating wave of political violence.”
He called on the American people to assemble on Oct. 14 “in their respective places of worship, there to pay homage to Charlie’s memory” and “pray for the advancement of peace, truth, and justice all across our country.”
Amazing and very well-deserved.
