Kết quả cho thấy, chỉ có 10.262 người (chiếm 0,01%) bị nhiễm virus SARS-CoV-2 trong hai tuần hoặc lâu hơn sau khi nhận được mũi tiêm thứ 2 hay hoặc mũi duy nhất đối với vaccine một liều Johnson&Johnson, 0,0007% trong số này phải nhập viện và 0,0001% tử vong.

Trình tự gen của 5% trong số các ca nhiễm cho thấy biến thể chính gây bệnh là biến thể B.1.17 được xác định lần đầu tiên ở Anh.

A very small percentage of 0.01% of people who are fully vaccinated in the US get Covid-19 later. This is the result of a study recently published by the US government, once again confirming the great effectiveness of vaccines in preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
The study was conducted on 101 million people who received 2 full doses of Covid-19 vaccine between January and April. The results showed that only 10,262 people (accounting for 0.01%) were infected with the virus. SARS-CoV-2 within two weeks or so after receiving the second or only dose of Johnson&Johnson single-dose vaccine, 0.0007% of these resulted in hospitalization and 0.0001% of deaths.

The genetic sequences of 5% of the infections revealed that the main pathogenic variant was variant B.1.17, which was first identified in the UK.

Explaining the possibility of disease despite vaccination, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that, even with vaccines that are proven to be highly effective, rare cases of disease are still in the anticipated before herd immunity is achieved.

Nearly 164 million people, or 50% of the US population, have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 39% are fully vaccinated.
