Cà phê VN mang đậm chất VN!!!
Nằm giữa trung tâm của Little Saigon, thuộc quận Cam, bang California, Mỹ, Cafe Áo Dài có bề ngoài khiến mọi người liên tưởng tới một quán cafe Việt Nam đặc trưng với những ô cửa sổ được phủ màu và ánh đèn bên trong lờ mờ, những khách hàng nam giới ph́ phèo thuốc lá và các nữ tiếp viên ăn mặc thiếu vải đon đả phục vụ cafe sữa đá.
Tuy nhiên, chủ của Cafe Áo Dài, Michael Nguyen, đang cố gắng thay đổi những h́nh dung có phần xấu xí đó của người dân địa phương về những quán cafe Việt Nam.

Cafe Áo Dài trước đó vốn là Cafe M Cutie. Nguyen trở thành chủ quán vào tháng 7 năm ngoái với hai mục tiêu: làm cafe thật ngon và thu hút tất cả mọi khách hàng đến quán.
"Trong cộng đồng này, ai cũng nghĩ cafe là cafe đen và sữa đặc. Tôi muốn cho các khách hàng biết rằng họ có thể thưởng thức cafe bằng nhiều cách khác nhau",*Oc Weekly*dẫn lời anh Nguyen nói. Thực đơn của quán cũng rất phong phú, gồm cả các loại cafe nước ngoài, đồ uống từ hoa quả và đồ ăn nhẹ.
Ngay từ đầu, Nguyen đă xác định rằng ước mơ mở một quán cafe hạng sang ở Little Saigon là một thách thức. Là cư dân của quận Cam, anh hiểu rơ các khách hàng trung thành của quán là những người đă lớn tuổi, hầu hết là đàn ông và không quan tâm đến hương vị khác nhau của các loại cafe nước ngoài. V́ thế, anh trở thành "nhà cải cách" trong một cộng đồng luôn tự hào về những giá trị truyền thống của ḿnh.
"Chúng tôi không muốn thay đổi mọi thứ ngay lập tức mà đánh mất sự yêu mến của khách hàng", anh Nguyen nói. "Chúng tôi vẫn phục vụ đồ uống mà họ đă uống nhiều năm nay. Chúng tôi vẫn có các nữ nhân viên nhưng dần dần chúng tôi sẽ thay đổi".
Những khách hàng lâu năm sẽ nhận thấy rơ những thay đổi giữa quán Cafe M Cutie quen thuộc và Cafe Áo Dài hiện nay. Nhờ quảng bá trên mạng xă hội, ngày càng đông khách tới quán. Cửa sổ phủ màu được thay thế và quyết định gây sốc nhất cho nhiều người đó là Nguyen buộc tất cả các nữ nhân viên của anh phải bỏ các bộ trang phục hở hang để mặc áo dài, biểu tượng truyền thống của Việt Nam cũng là nguồn cảm hứng đằng sau cái tên của quán.
"Các quán cafe của người Việt mang nhiều tiếng xấu v́ khung cảnh đèn mờ và tiếp viên mặc bikini, nhưng chúng tôi muốn một quán cafe thực thụ, một nơi mà bất kỳ ai cũng có thể đến cùng bạn bè và thưởng thức cafe", Alexis Lynn, quản lư quán, nói. "Phụ nữ cũng cần được cảm thấy thoái mái khi đến đây giống như đàn ông. Cả những khách hàng không phải người Việt Nam cũng vậy. Chúng tôi muốn chào đón tất cả mọi người".
Một khi Cafe Áo Dài đă đi vào đúng định hướng mà anh dự kiến, Nguyen sẽ mở một chuỗi cafe ở ngoài Little Saigon để giới thiệu truyền thống Việt Nam với các cộng đồng khác. Tuy nhiên, ước mơ của anh là tự rang xay những hạt cafe của riêng ḿnh. Trong khi các nhà cung cấp cafe rang xay khác chủ yếu nhập hàng từ châu Phi và Nam Mỹ, Nguyen hy vọng có thể kinh doanh từ chính Việt Nam.
"Bố mẹ tôi đă kể cho tôi nghe về sự vất vả của người dân Việt Nam. Tôi muốn tập trung vào thị trường cafe Việt Nam để hiểu biết hơn về nguồn cội của ḿnh và tạo công ăn việc làm cho các gia đ́nh ở đó", anh nói.

Since when Welfare program became a bad thing?

Welfare program is one of wonderful things that the human have come up with in the purpose of helping the people in need.

Believe me, everyone (who live in any countries that have this system) at some points in your life, would need it when you're down on your luck.
