Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump đă có cuộc kiểm tra y tế diễn ra bất ngờ, không có trong lịch tŕnh chính thức, khiến làm dấy lên hàng loạt đồn đoán về t́nh h́nh sức khỏe của ông chủ Nhà Trắng, mặc dù Nhà Trắng tuyên bố rằng ông chỉ đang thực hiện “giai đoạn 1” của quá tŕnh kiểm tra sức khỏe thường niên và kết quả vẫn tốt.

Theo Times, tuần qua là một tuần áp lực dồn dập với ông Trump khi Hạ viện Mỹ bắt đầu các phiên điều trần công khai luận tội ông với cáo buộc gây áp lực cho Ukraine để giành lợi ích về mặt chính trị.

Tới cuối tuần, ông Trump một lần nữa lại trở thành tâm điểm chú ư khi ông xuất hiện tại Trung tâm Y tế Quân đội Quốc gia Walter Reed tại Maryland để thực hiện một cuộc khám sức khỏe không có trong lịch tŕnh ngày 16/11.

Động thái này đă làm dấy lên nghi vấn về t́nh h́nh sức khỏe để cáng đáng việc điều hành nước Mỹ của ông Trump, mặc dù Nhà Trắng tuyên bố rằng ông chỉ đang thực hiện “giai đoạn 1” của quá tŕnh kiểm tra sức khỏe thường niên và kết quả vẫn tốt.

Theo Times, một chuyến thăm khám bệnh viện đột ngột của một tổng thống sẽ luôn làm dấy lên những câu hỏi và ông Trump không phải là ngoại lệ, nhất là trong bối cảnh Tổng thống 73 tuổi đang hướng tới nhiệm kỳ 4 năm kế tiếp.

“Điều duy nhất mà bạn có thể chắc chắn là đây không phải chuyến thăm theo lịch tŕnh và ông ấy không tới bệnh viện để thực hiện quá tŕnh kiểm tra thường niên. Điều này có nghĩa là ǵ? Nó có nghĩa là chúng ta không biết vấn đề y tế của ông Trump là ǵ”, thư kư báo chí Nhà Trắng dưới thời cựu Tổng thống Bill Clinton, Joe Lockhart, nhận định.

Cuộc khám sức khỏe của ông Trump không được liệt kê trong lịch tŕnh công khai và đợt khám sức khỏe định kỳ thường niên của ông mới cách đây 9 tháng. Thư kư báo chí Nhà Trắng Stephanie Grisham cho biết ông Trump sẽ có một năm 2020 đầy bận rộn và muốn tận dụng cuối tuần rảnh rỗi ở Washington để thực hiện một phần cuộc thăm khám định kỳ.

Bà Grisham không nêu chi tiết về kết quả cuộc kiểm tra hay lư giải v́ sao ông Trump lại bất ngờ đi khám sức khỏe mà không thông báo. Các cuộc thăm khám năm 2018 và 2019 của ông Trump đều được thông báo trước. Thư kư báo chí Nhà Trắng chỉ tiết lộ rằng ông Trump đă thực hiện “các bài kiểm tra và xét nghiệm nhanh”.

“Tổng thống vẫn khỏe mạnh và tràn đầy năng lượng như quư vị có thể thấy thông qua các buổi vận động tranh cử mạnh mẽ liên tiếp trước hàng ngh́n cử tri Mỹ vài lần một tuần”, bà Grisham nói.

Những hoài nghi

Tuy nhiên, không phải là ai cũng tin vào lời giải thích của quan chức Nhà Trắng.

Bà Kathleen Hall Jamieson, giám đốc trung tâm chính sách công Annenberg của đại học Pennsylvania, cho rằng báo chí có quyền hoài nghi về tuyên bố từ Nhà Trắng v́ bà cho rằng các tổng thống Mỹ từng vài lần không công khai t́nh trạng sức khỏe thực sự.

Năm 1919, cựu Tổng thống Woodrow Wilson từng bị đột quỵ nhưng thông tin về sự việc này không được công bố rộng răi. Cựu Tổng thống Franklin D. Roosevelt thắng nhiệm kỳ thứ 4 mặc dù ông mắc chứng tăng huyết áp nghiêm trọng và đă mất chỉ 11 tuần sau khi đắc cử.

Bà Jamieson chi ra rằng ông Trump từng bị chỉ trích v́ chỉ đưa ra một bản báo cáo sơ sài về t́nh trạng sức khỏe trước cuộc bầu cử năm 2016. Bác sĩ riêng của ông Trump khi đó, Harold N. Bornstein, viết trong hồ sơ tháng 12/2015 rằng, ông Trump chắc chắn sẽ là tổng thống khỏe nhất trong lịch sử Mỹ.

Tuy nhiên, cũng chính ông Bornstein sau đó đă thừa nhận sau đó rằng ông đă viết ra nhận xét trên chỉ trong 5 phút khi xe hơi của đội ngũ tranh cử ứng viên Trump đứng chờ bên ngoài văn pḥng ông Bornstein.

Bà Jamieson thắc mắc rằng v́ sao Nhà Trắng lại không thông báo trước mà ông Trump lại xuất hiện một cách bất ngờ tại trung tâm y tế: “Nếu đây là thăm khám định kỳ, tại sao nó lại không diễn ra một cách định kỳ?”.

Bà Grisham phản bác lại rằng mọi điều Nhà Trắng cung cấp đều là chính xác và nói rằng: “Chỉ v́ một việc được thực hiện khác đi chút ít không có nghĩa là có điều ǵ đó sai”.

Tuy nhiên, cách mô tả “giai đoạn 1” của Nhà Trắng cũng gây thắc mắc. Thứ nhất, các cuộc thăm khám định kỳ thường niên không diễn ra theo giai đoạn trừ khi có một yêu cầu xét nghiệm nào đó vượt qua khả năng mà đơn vị y tế ở Nhà Trắng có thể thực hiện. Đơn vị chăm sóc sức khỏe tại văn pḥng tổng thống có khả năng thực hiện rất nhiều bài kiểm tra và xét nghiệm đa dạng.

Ngoài ra, một số xét nghiệm phải được thực hiện vài tháng 1 lần nếu bác sĩ phát hiện ra vấn đề. Chính v́ vậy, điều này cũng đặt ra những câu hỏi rằng liệu Nhà Trắng có ư muốn không thông bố thông tin nào hay không.

Thêm vào đó, các cuộc khám sức khỏe định kỳ của các nhân vật quan trọng thường được lên lịch trước không chỉ để trung tâm y tế sắp xếp về mặt nhân sự mà c̣n chuẩn bị về mặt an ninh. Chính v́ thế, lịch tŕnh bất thường cuối tuần qua của ông Trump đă đặt ra nhiều câu hỏi về t́nh trạng thực tế của ông.

Chắc cái cựa gà mọc ở chân mà hồi xưa lấy làm lư do trốn lính, kỳ này đă bị trở nặng. Chắc phải cưa chân quá. Lạng quạng c̣n phải từ chức TT nữa đó.
