VBF-Quá buồn cho một thầy giáo gốc Việt lại có thể làm chuyện xấu hổ này. Thầy giáo đă ăn cắp hai ba lô đeo lưng hiệu đắt tiền. Sau khi điều tra th́ cảnh sát đă kết luận như vậy.

SAN JOSE - Một giáo viên đă bị bắt ngay trong trường Mt. Pleasant High School, nơi mà ông đang dạy học vào ngày thứ Năm vừa qua. Cảnh sát đă quyết định bắt ông thầy giáo này sau khi điều tra và kết luận rằng chính ông là người đă lấy trộm hai túi đeo trên lưng hiệu Coach đắt tiền.

Túi đeo hiệu Coach có giá vài trăm Mỹ kim mỗi cái. (Coach)
Vụ trộm diễn ra trong tháng Năm tại thương xá Westfield Valley Fair.
Cảnh sát San Jose cho biết người bị bắt là ông Trần Trùng Tom, 46 tuổi. Ông bị lập biên bản tại nhà giam Santa Clara County với lệnh bắt $10,000 của ṭa về tội trộm cắp.

Tại trường Mt. Pleasant, ông Trần Tùng dạy hai môn khoa học và lịch sử, theo trang web của trường cho biết.
Cảnh sát đă chú ư đến ông thầy giáo này sau ngày xảy ra vụ trộm hai túi đeo lưng (backpack) trị giá $700 Mỹ kim. Vụ trộm xảy ra tại tiệm Coach trong Valley Fair vào ngày 28 tháng Năm và được ghi nhận trong h́nh video giám sát. Các nhân viên an ninh của thương xá đă xem kỹ h́nh ảnh video. Hai ngày sau họ nhận ra ông Tùng khi ông trở lại thương xá.

Một nhân viên an ninh đă đi theo ông và nói chuyện với ông. Tin của cảnh sát cho biết ông đă hợp tác, cung cấp thông tin để liên lạc và cho phép chụp h́nh.
Những thông tin đó được cung cấp cho ban điều tra tội trộm cắp tại ty cảnh sát San Jose. Họ đă mở hồ sơ, thu thập các dữ kiện cần thiết và bàn giao cho Pḥng Biện Lư Hạt Santa Clara. Pḥng Biện Lư đă xem xét hồ sơ, trước khi đi đến quyết định bắt ông Trần Tùng trong lúc ông đang làm việc tại trường học vào ngày 5 tháng 10, 2017 vừa qua.
Ông Chris Funk, tổng giám thị Khu Học Chánh East Side Union High Schoo, đă tránh đưa ra ư kiến về vụ bắt này. Ông chỉ nói, “Khu học chánh sẽ có hành động phù hợp dựa trên những dữ kiện từ sở sảnh sát và pḥng biện lư.”
