Vietbf.com - Ông Obama sẽ bắt đầu thất nghiệp như bao người Mỹ vào ngày 20/1/2017 sau khi ông rời Nhà Trắng, v́ ông đă từng nói là sẽ lên mạng xă hội chuyên về nghề nghiệp Linkedin để kiếm một công việc làm v́ đă hết 2 nhiệm kỳ làm Tổng thống của ông kết thúc.

"Trong vài tháng tới, tôi sẽ gia nhập thị trường lao động. Tôi sẽ lên Linkedin và xem có việc ǵ không", Obama nói hồi giữa năm nay.

Tổng thống thứ 6 của Mỹ John Quincy Adams từng nói năm 1826 rằng "không có ǵ đáng thương hơn một cựu tổng thống". Dù vậy, Obama rời Nhà Trắng ở tuổi 55 và vẫn c̣n nhiều công việc ông có thể chọn làm.

Sứ mệnh trọn đời

"Tôi sẽ trở lại với công việc ḿnh đang làm trước kia, t́m cách giúp đỡ nhiều người", USA Today dẫn lời Tổng thống Obama nói trước các học sinh trung học hồi năm 2015.

"Giúp người trẻ được học hành, lao động có việc làm, mang cơ hội kinh doanh về những vùng thiếu thốn. Tôi thật sự yêu thích những công việc đó", Obama nói tiếp.

Giới quan sát và nhiều tờ báo đều nhận định gia đ́nh Obama sẽ tiếp tục các hoạt động cộng đồng. Quỹ Obama đă được thành lập tháng 1/2014, và phần tự giới thiệu cho biết quỹ ra đời để t́m kiếm "những thay đổi lâu dài hơn 8 năm nhiệm kỳ tổng thống".

USA Today nói sau khi rời Nhà Trắng, Obama có thể tập trung vào một số lĩnh vực mà ông thật sự thích. Theo tờ báo, ông chắc chắn không chọn con đường "ở ẩn" mà sẽ tiếp tục hoạt động tích cực.

Với danh tiếng sẵn có, Obama sẽ không quá khó khăn khi kêu gọi các nguồn tài trợ.

Một lĩnh vực chắc chắn Obama sẽ tham gia tích cực là cải thiện cuộc sống cho người Mỹ gốc Phi, điều ông miêu tả "luôn là sứ mệnh cho tôi và Michelle, trong suốt phần đời c̣n lại".

Cùng lắm thất nghiệp

Tổng thống Obama có thể viết sách, như ông từng làm trước khi vào Nhà Trắng. Ba quyển sách trước đây của Obama đă mang về cho ông hơn 15 triệu USD.

Lúc trúng cử tổng thống Mỹ, ông đang trong hợp đồng viết tiếp một sách khác, và cuốn sách này được thương lượng để dời lại sau nhiệm kỳ tổng thống.

Sau 8 năm ở Nhà Trắng trong vai tṛ tổng thống da màu đầu tiên của Mỹ, Obama hẳn sẽ có một vị trí đặc biệt trong lịch sử và nhiều chuyện để kể.

Với tài diễn thuyết của ḿnh, Obama có thể đi theo con đường của cựu Tổng thống Bill Clinton. Những bài diễn thuyết của Clinton thu phí tới hàng trăm ngàn USD/buổi.

Nếu không t́m được công việc ưng ư, Tổng thống Obama vẫn có thể trông cậy vào tiền "lương" 200.000 USD/năm dành cho các cựu tổng thống Mỹ.

Có một điều khá chắc chắn, Đệ nhất phu nhân Michelle Obama đă bác bỏ khả năng bà tham gia vào chính trường và ra tranh cử tổng thống Mỹ, dù trên mạng xă hội rất nhiều người yêu mến bà đang kêu gọi việc này.

V́ vậy, Tổng thống Obama sẽ không phải luyện tập để trở lại Nhà Trắng trong vai tṛ "đệ nhất phu quân".

What will Obama do after he's done being President of the USA???

No matter your opinion, it’s pretty clear that at 55 and with a background in community organizing.. Obama is nowhere close to finished with his career.

First, I think he'll spend a lot of time with his family, perhaps in Hawaii.

Then, Obama is pretty young: Hes only 55......I think he will (like many POTUS) give speeches for lots of money....But he will need something to occupy most of his time.

He might go back to being a law school professor (Hey mom! My professor used to be president!)...

Or he might find some charitable interest as did Jimmy Carter.... but I am not sure where his interests are in that regard.

If I were him I'd go fishing. My tackle box (a bit big for my short fishing trip as always) contains nothing but a few 18-pack of beer and lots of goodies to munch during the trip!

Life is short! Live yours!!!!!!!!!
