Bất b́nh với Tổng thống Donald Trump, con gái con gái cựu tổng thống Clinton sẽ tranh cử. Chelsea Clinton cho biết, mặc dù hiện nay không có ư định nối gót cha mẹ ḿnh nhưng cô kinh hăi cách cư xử mà ông Donald Trump đang làm đối với những người nhập cư bất hợp pháp. Đây là vấn đề mà nhiều người Mỹ bất b́nh với ông Trump



Chelsea Clinton, con gái của cựu Tổng thống Bill Clinton và cựu ngoại trưởng Hillary Clinton.
Chelsea Clinton hiện đang quảng bá cho một cuốn sách về trẻ em của ḿnh tại hội chợ sách quốc tế Edinburg. Cuốn sách kể về những người mẹ, những người đă kiên quyết đấu tranh và chỉ trích mạnh mẽ đương kim tổng thống Mỹ áp dụng chính sách chia ĺa con cái và bố mẹ của những người di dân bất hợp pháp ở biên giới Mexico. Chelsea gọi chính sách này là tội ác lớn nhất hiện nay.
“ Ở cấp độ liên bang, tôi cảm thấy ghê rợn những ǵ mà ngài Tổng thống Trump đang làm. Tôi rất biết ơn những ǵ mà những nữ nghị sỹ hạ viện và thượng viện đang cố gắng làm để ngăn chặn ông ấy. Trong khi tôi không đồng ư với ngài tổng thống, tôi nghĩ rằng gia đ́nh tôi thực sự là một đại diện tốt nếu những nữ nghị sỹ này về hưu, và tôi nghĩ rằng tôi có thể có tác động tích cực, do đó tôi đă phải tự hỏi ḿnh rằng liệu tôi có nên ra tranh cử”, Chelsea Clinton chia sẻ.
Cô cho biết thêm, hiện tại chắc chắn cô không muốn ra tranh cử, nhưng có thể là trong tương lai.
Khi được hỏi cô nghĩ ǵ trước thất bại của bà Hillary Clinton tại cuộc tranh cử tổng thống năm 2016, Chelsea nói: “ Mẹ tôi chỉ tiếp tục con đường chính trị để tạo nên ảnh hưởng tích cực và bên ngoài chính trị có nhiều cách mà tôi thấy bà đă dành trọn cả cuộc đời ḿnh".

Khi ông Bill Clinton bước vào Nhà Trắng, Chelsea Clinton 12 tuổi, bằng tuổi Barron Trump, cậu con trai của ông Trump hiện nay. Do đó, Chelsea rất hiểu và thông cảm tâm tư của một đứa trẻ phải hứng chịu búa ŕu dư luận v́ những hành động của cha ḿnh.
Chelsea cho biết: “Tôi không đồng ư với cách làm của cha cậu ấy, nhưng mọi người không nên chế nhạo cậu ấy, từ vẻ bề ngoài đến những thứ riêng tư hơn. Nói công bằng, cậu ấy vẫn là một đứa trẻ và cậu ấy đáng có tuổi thơ như những đứa trẻ khác”
