Hôm 23/12, Báo chí Trung Quốc mới đưa tin, một đơn vị thuộc lực lượng đặc biệt của Trung Quốc đă tới cảng Tartus phối hợp với các lính thủy đánh bộ Nga tham gia chống IS ở Syria. V́ sao thời điểm Nga tuyên bố quét sạch IS tại Syria th́ Trung Quốc mới triển khai quân tới đây?

Đơn vị này được thành lập trên cơ sở lực lượng “Hổ đêm” chuyên tham gia các chiến dịch chống khủng bố ở Tân Cương và một số thành viên của đội đột kích “Báo tuyết” của Cảnh sát vũ trang. Đơn vị này tới Syria với mục đích nhằm tiêu diệt các phần tử khủng bố cực đoan người Duy Ngô Nhĩ đang tham gia hàng ngũ tổ chức Nhà nước Hồi giáo (IS) tự xưng.



Trước đây, nhiều phần tử khủng bố cực đoan người Duy Ngô Nhĩ ẩn náu lâu dài trên đất Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ. Sau khi chiến sự bùng nổ tại Syria, chúng đă sang Syria tham chiến, lập thành Mặt trận Đông Turkistan, xây dựng căn cứ địa. Những phần tử này rất hung hăn, trang bị tinh nhuệ, trở thành mối đe dọa lớn cho quân chính phủ Syria và lực lượng vũ trang dân quân người Kurk.

Đơn vị chống khủng bố của Trung Quốc sẽ phối hợp với quân chính phủ Syria và các đơn vị của Nga tiêu diệt những phần tử trên. Việc đưa quân đội tác chiến ở nước ngoài là một thách thức lớn với quân đội Trung Quốc. Tuy quân đội Trung Quốc từng cử người tham gia các đơn vị ǵn giữ ḥa b́nh của Liên Hợp Quốc ở châu Mỹ, châu Phi và Trung Đông, nhưng không thể so sánh với lần tác chiến cường độ cao này.
