Trong tuần này ông Trump sẽ dùng quyền miễn trừ truy tố dành cho tổng thống lần đầu tiên, đó là lời của luật sư riêng của ông. Báo USA Today cho biết ngày 28/3, ông Trump sẽ miễn trừ truy tố trước vụ kiện nhằm gây tổn hại thanh danh của ông.

Hôm 17/1, Summer Zervos, một cựu thí sinh trong chương tŕnh truyền h́nh The Apprentice đă đệ đơn kiện ông Trump lên ṭa án ở New York, chỉ vài ngày trước khi ông nhậm chức tổng thống. Người phụ nữ này cáo buộc ông Trump đă sàm sỡ bà trong một pḥng khách sạn ở Beverly Hills vào năm 2007.

Ông Trump đă bác bỏ cáo buộc với hàng loạt ḍng tweet như “100% bịa đặt”, “hoàn toàn giả dối”. Trong một văn bản đệ tŕnh lên ṭa án, luật sư của ông Trump nói rằng, Hiến pháp Mỹ cần ngăn vụ kiện này bởi nó có thể “làm xao nhăng Tổng thống khỏi các nhiệm vụ có thể ảnh hưởng đến không chỉ Tổng thống mà c̣n cả quốc gia”. Họ cho biết sẽ chính thức đề nghị bác bỏ hoặc hoăn vụ kiện của bà Summer Zervos ít nhất cho đến khi ông Trump hết nhiệm sở.

Đề nghị trên được đưa ra trong bối cảnh ông Trump nhậm chức hơn 2 tháng và hiện phải đối mặt với hàng loạt vụ kiện bắt nguồn từ trước khi ông trở thành tổng thống.

Tuy nhiên, luật sư của bà Zervos, Gloria Allred, nói rằng: “Tổng thống không được quyền miễn trừ trong vụ kiện của chúng tôi… Không ai được phép đứng trên Pháp luật kể cả tổng thống Mỹ. Chúng tôi sẽ tranh luận về vấn đề này tại ṭa”.

quá đúng .. một vị nguyên thủ quốc gia mà phạm tội th́ cũng sẽ xử như một dân thuờng thôi .. nếu mà bải nhiệm đuợc th́ c̣n tư cách ǵ mà lănh đạo quốc gia nữa đây!!???

vậy hồi xưa clinton cũng bị tố đó , sao không thằng nào lên tiếng để bải nhiệm .. đúng là tào lao

Đúng! Làm TT có quyền đó chứ sao không. Cái "khoái " nhất là làm TT th́ muốn "đào ngũ" lúc nào cũng được, "trước địch quân" hay chỉ bị "hù tắm máu" mà đào ngũ th́ cũng không sao mà c̣n khỏe re, khỏi phạm tội tử h́nh.... Cứ "vô tư" chuẩn bị máy bay hay tàu thuyền để ung dung đào ngũ khi "cần thiết" ...
