Cô giáo đă 29 tuổi, cô dạy Tiếng Anh. Cô có thai với một nam sinh trung học ở California mới 16 tuổi. Nam sinh này đă thắng kiện 6 triệu USD bồi thường cho những thiệt hại tinh thần sau khi bị cô giáo quyến rũ , theo báo Evening Standard.


Cô Laura Whitehurst, 29 tuổi đă bị bắt vào tháng 5.2013.
Nam sinh này bắt đầu hẹn ḥ với giáo viên tiếng Anh Laura Whitehurst khi cậu mới 16 tuổi. Mối t́nh của họ bị phát hiện sau khi cô giáo có thai.
Hai tháng sau khi sinh con cô giáo bị bắt giam. Nam sinh cho biết rằng viên chức nhà trường đă biết về vụ việc, nhưng không làm ǵ để ngăn chặn. Cậu cáo buộc họ về sự sơ suất và thực sự gọi họ là đồng lơa trong vụ phạm pháp.
Nam sinh khai với ṭa án rằng mối t́nh này gây cho anh ta sự thương tổn sâu sắc.
"Tôi phải làm cha của em bé, mặc dù tôi vẫn c̣n là một đứa trẻ", tờ báo trích dẫn lời nguyên đơn.
Cô Laura Whitehurst, 29 tuổi đă bị bắt vào tháng 5.2013 và bị buộc 41 tội danh liên quan đến hành vi quan hệ t́nh dục bất hợp pháp. Cô Laura Whitehurst đối mặt với mức án 29 năm tù giam.
