Những nhân viên Mật vụ làm việc không lương trong thời gian chính phủ đóng cửa một phần, khiến cựu Tổng thống George W. Bush đãi các nhân viên Mật vụ của ông một chầu pizza để tỏ lòng cảm kích đối với sự phục vụ của họ, qua bức ảnh đăng trên Instagram và Facebook của ông Bush .

Theo Washington Post, trên tài khoản Instagram hôm qua 18/1, cựu Tổng thống Bush đã đăng tải một bức ảnh ông giao pizza cho các nhân viên Mật vụ, kèm với dòng bình luận: "Laura W. Bush và tôi rất biết ơn các nhân viên Mật vụ của mình và hàng nghìn nhân viên liên bang đang cống hiến tích cực cho đất nước ngay cả khi không được trả lương", ông Bush viết.

Cựu chủ nhân Nhà Trắng cũng viết thêm: "Chúng tôi cũng cảm ơn những vẫn đang ủng hộ chúng tôi. Đã đến lúc lãnh đạo hai đảng gạt vấn đề chính trị sang một bên, hợp tác với nhau để chấm dứt tình trạng đóng cửa chính phủ".

Cử chỉ cảm động và những bình luận của ông Bush đưa ra trong bối cảnh chính phủ Mỹ đóng cửa một phần 28 ngày liên tiếp và chưa có dấu hiệu sớm mở cửa trở lại do bất đồng giữa Tổng thống Donald Trump và đảng Dân chủ về kế hoạch chi ngân sách xây tường biên giới ngăn người nhập cư trái phép.

Việc Tổng thống và quốc hội Mỹ không thể thông qua dự thảo cấp ngân sách hoạt động cho chính phủ khiến hàng trăm nghìn nhân viên liên bang, trong đó có các nhân viên Mật vụ, mất việc làm hoặc làm việc không lương.

Các nhân viên Mật vụ có trách nhiệm bảo vệ tổng thống đương nhiệm và các cựu tổng thống cùng với gia đình của họ. Bất chấp tính chất căng thẳng của công việc, họ vẫn phải hoàn thành nhiệm vụ ngay cả khi không được trả lương.

Cơ quan Mật vụ Mỹ có hơn 7.200 nhân viên, trong đó gần 6.000 nhân viên làm việc không lương, hơn 1.200 nhân viên còn lại nghỉ việc không lương do chính phủ Mỹ đóng cửa một phần gần 1 tháng qua.

Nếu các nghị sĩ quốc hội Mỹ không thể đạt được thỏa thuận về dự thảo ngân sách vào đầu tuần tới, các nhân viên liên bang sẽ tiếp tục bị nợ lương tháng thứ hai.

Không được trả lương thì không chính xác lắm, phải nói là làm trước rồi sẽ trả sau khi chính phủ mở cửa lại

Thật ra thì 44 tt trước, mỗi người một vẻ nhưng mục đích chung vẫn là lo cho dân.
Họ suy nghĩ trước khi nói, chứ không lếu láo để rồi ngày mai phải có người đính chánh lại. Với lại chắc là họ không biết ...chat! haha,...
Còn người thứ 45. xin lổi, tôi không có ý kiến nhé.

Ở đời có lúc mình cũng phải tế nhị chứ bro.
Ngày xưa mình từng chưởi chế độ CS là: độc quyền. Chỉ được tung hô chứ không được phê bình!!!!

Chúng ta đây, rất may mắn là không bị sống trong chế độ đó nữa, NHƯNG luật lệ cũng không khác nhau là mấy, đối với 1 số ít người vẫn còn đầu óc ích kỷ. Ngoài miệng thì hô hào tự do, nhưng nếu bro. lở phê bình vào thần tượng cũa họ thì rỏ ràng: búa tạ đang chờ bro. đó.
