"Không có bữa ăn nào miễn phí cả ", như người ta vẫn nói. Nhưng khi McDonald thông báo điều này, người tiêu dùng Việt không bận tâm xếp hàng hàng giờ để có được những bữa ăn miễn phí.

Bữa ăn miễn phí của McDonald đã sẵn sàng cho bất cứ ai đi qua các cửa hàng chuỗi thức ăn nhanh lớn nhất thế giới ở Quận 1, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh.mChiến dịch chạy trong 24 giờ từ 08:00 thứ Hai, và khách hàng được yêu cầu phải nói "I'm Lovin' It" để nhận được một chiếc bánh hamburger miễn phí, khoai tây chiên kiểu Pháp và một ly sôđa.


Dòng người bao gồm những người từ hầu như tất cả các tầng lớp xã hội, từ công nhân, học sinh và người có thu nhập thấp khác. Một số người nói họ bước vào hàng đợi vào lúc 05:00 vào thứ ba.

Các dòng người chờ được phát bữa ăn miến phí sẽ kéo dài khi màn đêm buông xuống, và ban tổ chức chiến dịch công bố rằng họ đã cho đi 10.000 bữa ăn miễn phí và 10.000 món quà nhỏ cho trẻ em.
