Đệ nhất phu nhân Mỹ Michelle Obama đă lên tiếng chỉ trích Donald Trump, ứng cử viên Tổng thống Mỹ của Đảng Cộng ḥa, đồng thời bày tỏ sự ủng hộ đối với bà Hillary Clinton tại ngày khai mạc đại hội toàn quốc của Đảng Dân chủ tại Philadelphia hôm 25/7.

“Những ngôn từ đầy hận thù… đến từ các nhân vật của công chúng trên truyền h́nh không đại diện cho tinh thần thực sự của đất nước này”, bà Obama nói và nhận được những tràng vỗ tay hưởng ứng vang dội từ phía khán giả.

“Đừng hạ ḿnh về cùng mức với họ. Phương châm của chúng ta là khi họ xuống thấp th́ chúng ta lên cao”, hăng tin BBC dẫn lời bà Obama.

Trong một bài phát biểu trước đó, Thượng nghị sỹ bang Vermont Bernie Sanders đă kêu gọi toàn Đảng Dân chủ dành sự ủng hộ cho bà Clinton trong cuộc bầu cử Tổng thống Mỹ diễn ra vào tháng 11. Ông Sanders là người đă thất bại trước bà Clinton trong cuộc đua giành vị trí người đại diện cho Đảng Dân chủ tranh cử vào Nhà Trắng.

Theo dự kiến, vào ngày thứ Năm tuần này, bà Clinton sẽ chính thực nhận sự đề cử của Đảng Dân chủ để trở ứng cử viên đại diện cho đảng trong cuộc bầu cử diễn ra vào tháng 11 tới.

“Trong khi Donald Trump mải xúc phạm hết cộng đồng này đến cộng đồng khác, Hillary Clinton hiểu rằng sự đa dạng của chúng ta là một trong những sức mạnh lớn nhất của chúng ta”, ông Sanders nói.

Tuy nhiên, nhiều người ủng hộ ông Sanders đă ồ lên phản đối khi ông đề cập đến tên bà Clinton. Một số người khác dán khẩu hiệu “im lặng” lên miệng để bày tỏ sự không đồng t́nh.

Bài phát biểu của bà Obama được xem là một đ̣n tấn công đối với tỷ phú Trump, dù bà không đề cập trực tiếp tới tên ông.

Đệ nhất phu nhân Mỹ nói bà muốn chồng ḿnh được kế nhiệm bởi “một người hiểu rơ và nh́n nhận nghiêm túc về công việc này”. “Một ai đó hiểu rằng vấn đề của đất nước chúng ta không phải là màu da đen hay trắng. Vấn đề của đất nước này không thể được gói gọn trong 140 chữ cái”, bà Obama nói, ám chỉ việc Trump hay dùng mạng xă hội Twitter để bày tỏ quan điểm.

Số chữ tối đa của mỗi ḍng trạng thái trên Twitter là 140 chữ.

“Người đó không thể là một người hay tự ái và dễ dàng nổi cáu. Người đó cần có sự điềm tĩnh, thận trọng, và hiểu biết”, bà Obama phát biểu.

Bà nói có “một người duy nhất tôi tin tưởng thực sự có đủ phẩm chất để trở thành Tổng thống… và đó là người bạn của chúng ta, bà Hillary Clinton”. Nhờ bà Clinton, “các con gái của tôi, và tất cả con trai, con gái của chúng ta giờ đây tin rằng một phụ nữ có thể trở thành Tổng thống của nước Mỹ”, bà Obama nói.

Đệ nhất phu nhân cũng ca ngợi bà Clinton là một “người phụng sự công chúng thực sự”, một người đă thể hiện “sự tận tâm đối với thế hệ trẻ của đất nước” và “không bao giờ khuất phục trước những áp lực”.

Sau bài phát biểu của vợ, Tổng thống Obama viết trên mạng Twitter: “Một bài phát biểu tuyệt vời của một phụ nữ tuyệt vời. Không thể tự hào hơn và đất nước của chúng ta thật may mắn khi có bà ấy là đệ nhất phu nhân. Anh yêu em, Michelle”.

Về phần ḿnh, Trump nói rằng ông Sanders đă “bán đứng bản thân” cho bà Clinton. Ông cũng “chê bai” những người phát biểu khác tại ngày khai mạc đại hội Đảng Dân chủ, nhưng không đề cập đến bà Obama.

We may have seen history last night...I think it may have been the second time in her life that Michelle was proud to be an American. Yeah right! She was lying through her teeth every time she praised Hillary, and another observation...Could Bernie have stooped any lower? Ted Cruz bent over just a little bit by not saying the words "I support"...but Bernie was down there with the snakes, worms and roaches.

Has anyone ever told you this: "If he (she) is a politician, and which means he (she) is a cheat and a liar, and when he (she) is not kissing babies, he (she) is stealing their lollipops."

Your opinion has too much personal resentment toward a lady who does her best to be a woman and the role of a President's wife!

If you're a man and married, ask your wife what she'd think about your comments toward the 1st lady!!

Mr. Xi-Trump says things against everyone, every race, every community, every country so he can get their attention and make them think that he is THE man. He is NOT in my opinion!

Remember, Mr. Xi-Trump is not you, and you definitely aren't Mr. Xi-Trump!

I have friends on my side of the political fence. I also have friends on the other side of this fence...But one thing is for sure: I am NOT about to let all of this political anarchy ruin my friendship.

I am not a political expert. I am not even that radically political. You don’t have to listen to me... But you can’t say I didn’t warn you...

So for now, I’ll keep my mouth shut, hope you choose to do the same and ride the wave of insanity for the next few months quietly.... See you at the polls.
