Kể từ sau khi kết thúc chiến tranh quan hệ ngoại giao Việt-Mỹ đă trải qua 23 năm. Vậy mà trước đó ít ai có thể ngờ rằng 2 nước từng có 1 cuộc chiến tranh khốc liệt. Vậy mà giờ đây Vn đă trở thành quốc gia thân Mỹ nhất tại Đông Nam Á.

Hai mươi ba năm về trước vào ngày 11/7/1995, Tổng thống Bill Clinton loan báo Hoa Kỳ và Việt Nam đă b́nh thường hóa và thiết lập bang giao với nhau. Một tháng sau, hai nước cựu thù nâng cấp các văn pḥng liên lạc đă được thiết lập từ tháng Giêng năm 1995 lên cấp sứ quán. Hai năm sau, năm 1997, cựu Dân biểu “Pete” Peterson, một cựu tù binh chiến tranh tại Việt Nam, trở thành Đại sứ Hoa Kỳ đầu tiên tại Việt Nam thời hậu chiến. Hai nước cựu thù từng chiến đấu sống mái với nhau trong chiến tranh Việt Nam, về phần lớn đă bỏ lại quá khứ sau lưng. Ngày nay, Việt Nam được giới phân tích đánh giá là một trong các quốc gia thân Mỹ nhất tại Đông Nam Á.

Các cuộc thăm ḍ mới nhất cho thấy có đến 84% người dân Việt Nam có cái nh́n thiện cảm đối với Hoa Kỳ. Theo đà cải thiện quan hệ song phương, các quan hệ kinh tế cũng khởi sắc hơn xưa. Cách đây vài ngày, trong chuyến đi thăm Việt Nam, Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao Mike Pompeo đă gặp gỡ cộng đồng doanh nhân Việt Nam tại khách sạn Sofitel ở Hà Nội. Tuy nhiên các quan hệ kinh tế giữa hai quốc gia vẫn vấp phải một số hạn chế khiến cho hai bên chưa thực hiện được đầy đủ tiềm năng trong mối quan hệ song phương.

Thời Chump coi trọng kinh tế không care về nhân quyền nên VC tha hồ lđàn áp, bỏ tù...để mong không c̣n ai chống đối khi quỳ dâng nước Việt cho Chệt...
