Trong cuộc biểu tình ở TP.HCM người dân đổ xuống đường phản đối Chính quyền CSVN lập đặc khu cho thuê. Anh người Mỹ gốc Việt bị công an CSVN đánh và bắt giam. Trên mạng lan truyền thông tin anh bị giữ tại công an ở 317 Lê Văn Sỹ, Phường 13, Quận 3, Hồ Chí Minh.

William Nguyễn là con trai ,là cháu trong gia đình được biết đến của nhiều người tại cộng đồng Houston . Will Nguyễn tốt nghiệp đại học Yale Hoa Kỳ . Will được học bổng mang tên Lý Quang Diệu tại Singapore cho văn bằng Master. Trong khi chờ đợi ra trường vào tháng 7 Will có về Việt Nam và có mặt trong đoàn biểu tình tại Sài Gòn . Được biết Will bị công an đánh tét đầu và gia đình sẽ liên lạc bác sĩ của Will để lấy chứng nhận em hoàn toàn khoẻ mạnh trước khi vào VN . Nếu Will bị bất cứ điều gì có liên quan đến thân thể và sức khoẻ thì e rằng Công an VN không yên thân .Là một công dân Mỹ Will hoàn toàn có quyền im lặng trong lúc bị giam giữ. Toà lãnh sự quán Hoa Kỳ đã được thông báo và tất cả các đài truyền thông tại hải ngoại sẽ đưa tin này nếu Cộng Sản vẫn ngoan cố giữ người. Yêu Cầu an ninh Việt Nam thả người ngay lập tức ! Will Nguyen is a well known and liked young man in the Vietnamese American Community of Houston. He is graduate of Yale University and is currently completing his master degree in Singapore University with a Lee Kuan Yew scholarship. While awaiting his graduation in July 2018, Will visited Vietnam, his family’s homeland.
In the past week, the people of Vietnam are in the upheaval of angers as the communist government of Vietnam is about to sign into laws a very unpopular and historic betrayal of national territory when three strategic regions of Vietnam are leased unconditionally to China for the next 99 years. Millions of Vietnamese, young and old are on the street demonstrating the government.
Will was last found in the crowd of the demonstrators and was found to be beaten by the police. There was report of Will receiving grave head injury and was arrested and taken by the police. His family has contacted the family doctor to certify that Will was in full health and without injury prior to his vacation to Vietnam.
As an American citizen, Will is entitled to his rights to be treated fairly without bodily and psychological harm, and he has the right to legal representation in accordance to international laws.
His arrest has been reported to the US Embassy in Vietnam. In addition, the US media networks have been notified and are following the story.
His family demands that the Vietnamese government should immediately release Will so he can seek medical treatment and to prevent further harm to his medical condition. Detained at police station :
